Here is a note to tell you a little 'About Us'. Jackson Pack N Ship of Jackson, Michigan, was established in 1997 in the south west of town. We are Wayne and Kelly Sowers and we purchased the business March 14, 2005. Both of us worked in an aerospace manufacturing plant before quitting the day job to become packaging and shipping experts! That exciting and nervous day will be remembered as the day we took the plunge into becoming mid-aged entrepreneurs! We are very happy we did.
We made a few changes at the onset and our sales grew 40% the first year. And, we are still growing! Believe it or not, our manufacturing background has been a useful tool to grow the business. We use our knowledge of "lean manufacturing", S.W.O.T., and statistical process control for analyzing our business processes and quality of service. Our help also comes from Greater Jackson Chamber of Commerce, our newspaper the Jackson Citizen Patriot, and the local cable channel JTV17.
But, nothing mentioned above compares to the referrals we get on a daily basis from our customers for whom we are very grateful and are pleased to call our friends. We have the privilege of seeing many regular customers often and enjoy greeting them by name as they enter the store.
Our leap from employment to entrepreneurship would not have been thinkable without faith in the promises of God through Christ. He sustains us when the numbers said we couldn't. We are astonished every month by his blessing on us and our business.
