2018 Postal Rate Updates

Let Us Help You Get the Postage Right

Effective January 21, 2018

The rate for a First Class Mail Letter (1 oz.) for postage purchased at the Post Office is increasing by one cent. The rate for a First Class Mail Flats/Large Envelope is increasing by two cents and postcards are increasing by one cent in 2018. Media Mail rates for books, magazines and other media also increased about 2%.

Most of the increases for 2018 are levied against re-sellers and businesses using commercial based pricing.

Best shipping value is most important to us

Regardless if it’s postal or not, FedEx, UPS or DHL may be great and better choices for your specific shipment.  Although the postal service offers the least expensive rates it may not provide the service for your situation.

Other than stamps and other small increases in first class mail, most of the increases are levied onto re-sellers and businesses using commercial based pricing.

Jackson Pack N Ship is a postage re-seller which charges slightly more than prices available directly from the USPS post office. Our customers love our happy staff, convenient retail counter and super great parking.

Your best value is most important to us. Although the flat rate boxes are attractive, they may not be the best value for your shipping project. Often times we have saved our customers real money by looking at ALL shipping options for the weight, size and destination of the package. Fed Ex and UPS have guarantees that the postal service does not and many times at better prices but they can not ship to a PO Box.

Is all this postal stuff too confusing?

JPNS customers never worry about these details, rules and regulations. We are the experts and all you have to do is tell us about your shipping project and we help you select the correct service for the money.
